Dentists Mary and John Ahearne qualified with degrees in Dental Surgery in 1983 from The London Hospital Dental School. They came to Moonfleet in 1989 taking over the practice from a retiring colleague.
John Ahearne BDS MSc MFGDP (UK)LFHom (GDC no. 58015)
John gained his Masters degree in Periodontology from Guy’s Hospital in 1991 and subsequently was awarded Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners in 1993.
John has the LFHom homoeopathic qualification and is currently studying for a higher homoeopathic qualification.
John is a member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology.
Mary Ahearne BDS (GDC no. 58626) is primarily interested in children’s dentistry and orthodontics
Cheryl Tanner, Hygienist (GDC no. 6550) has recently joined the practice. She is a doubly qualified hygienist and dental therapist (Cardiff 2004) and brings a wealth of enthusiasm for the job.
Lisa Colquhoun EDH Hygienist (GDC no. 4286) qualified from Kings College, London in 1992 and has been with us for over 10 years. After a break for the birth of her son she has now returned to the fold.
Sheila Shergold (GDC no. 117052) is a qualified dental nurse who runs our reception.
Donna Mayo RDN (GDC no. 106665) is a qualified dental nurse who works with John and the hygienists.
Haley Cook RDN (GDC no. 105039) is a registered dental nurse - recently married and returned from maternity leave.
